Senior Photos

When do you need to have your Senior Portrait turned in to the yearbook staff?

Each school has its own deadline, but generally speaking, Sedro-Woolley and Anacortes are due mid-October, Burlington is the end of October and Mount Vernon is usually the 1st of November. My summer schedule starts to fill up a few months in advance so don’t wait until the last minute to book your session. Feel free to contact me early to be sure to get your preferred spot.

When should you have your photos taken?

Late April, May & June are great months if you want green grasses, apple blossoms, and Spring flowers. July & August are best for warm evenings with golden light. These are great months for beach sessions. September & October are great if you like the wheat-colored grasses and a hint of Fall color.

Where should you have your photos taken?  

Do you like tall grass & fields?  Barns & flowers?  Downtown, brick buildings & alleyways?  Water, bridges, and trees?  High School ball field & bleachers?  Let me know which type of location sounds most like you and that’s where we’ll go! If you don’t have a specific place in mind, I can send you some ideas.

How much will it cost?  

The most popular is the Full Session ($825), which is 1 hour, 3-4 outfit changes, multiple backdrops, and 50 digital images. If you are having fun and really enjoying your session, we might end up with more than 60 images (which is generally the case!).

I also offer a Mini Session ($475), which is 20 minutes, no outfit changes, and 12 digital images. Mini Sessions are good for those who just need a few good photos and are not interested in a variety of poses or different backdrops.

What should you wear?  

Full Sessions allow for up to 3 outfit changes. I recommend arriving in your favorite outfit that feels the most like you. It gives you a chance to warm up to the camera while wearing something comfortable. The next outfit could be something dressy or more formal. Sticking with the dressy outfit you can layer it up with a sweater, jacket, or hat for another look. The final outfit could be something that shows off your personality in sports, a hobby, or other interests.

When will your digital images be ready?

I will have them delivered to you by email, in a password-protected gallery within 2 weeks of your session.

Can you bring a friend?

Absolutely! If you would feel more comfortable having your friend join us, please bring them. They can help with genuine smiles, be your personal assistant, and they can jump in for a few shots together.
